AutoCont is a private Czech company, which was founded in 1990. Between 1993 and 1995 an extensive trade network was systematically built up in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. At the same time, production of the company’s own brand of personal computers was rapidly developed. 1998 can be considered a watershed which marked the beginning of changes that over the next few years would result in the transformation of the company from being a hardware producer and retailer to, primarily, a provider of comprehensive solutions and services. Additionally, in 1998 the company was restructured into three divisions; sales, distribution and parts production. Since 2000, IT operation outsourcing has been an increasing priority for AutoCont. At present time, AutoCont is the leading Czech supplier of information and communications technologies in both the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

AutoCont’s services are concentrated into 3 major areas:

• Outsourcing and servicing
• Technical, system and application infrastructure
• Business applications

AutoCont cooperates with hundreds of customers drawn from all market areas. For some customers, AutoCont has implemented one-off solutions and deliveries. However, in most cases, AutoCont has established a long-term relationship based on knowledge of the customer’s requirements and a high level of mutual trust. At the present time, AutoCont fully concentrates on services for corporate clients. AutoCont is one of a mere handful of Czech firms whose offer can markedly address customers both from the SMB (small and medium business) and EBS (large firms, financial institutions and civil service) sectors. AutoCont’s internal structure, business and implementation processes are tailored to the diverse requirements of these markets.

AutoCont currently employs, in the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic, more than 700 staff, of whom 60% work in the service-provision sector. AutoCont systematically improves the professionalism of its employees, as both the personal and company certifications obtained at the highest level bear witness to. Currently working in AutoCont are more than 30 Microsoft Certified Systems Engineers (MCSE), 100 Microsoft Certified Professionals (MCP), 40 certified Navision specialists, 12 certified Axapta specialists, 10 certified FileNet specialists, 5 SAP consultants, 3 Microsoft Certified Trainers (MCT), 50 certified HP technicians, 20 certified IBM technicians and many other top certified staff, for example; for Siebel, Cisco, CA, Citrix, Symantec and VMware products.

AutoCont is certified according to the ISO 9001:2001 standard for service provision and servicing. All processes relating to provision of service are controlled in compliance with ISO 9001:2001 standards and internationally recognised ITIL methodology. Thus, high expertise, standardised quality and stability of execution are assured.

AutoCont has traditionally used its good fortune in support of children’s homes and the developmentally disabled. In this respect, AutoCont cooperates with the Tereza Maxova Foundation, the Barriers Account (Konto bariéry) and a number of other organisations. AutoCont’s long-term partnership with the National Theatre in Prague can undoubtedly be considered a significant means of support for Czech culture.
